Terms and Conditions of Service
Uniq Media design, develop websites, provides ongoing technical support, provides Hosted Virtual Private Servers and additional services. Uniq Media reserves the right to suspend or cancel a customer’s access to any or all services provided by Uniq Media when Uniq Media decides that the account holder has failed to make the payment for the services provided and been inappropriately used or otherwise. The domains are managed by us and there will be monthly payments for hosting. If the client wants to transfer a domain, there will be a domain transfer fee determined by Uniq Media Ltd.

Our business is continually evolving and as such we reserve the right to change our Terms and Conditions when necessary. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are up to date with all of our T&Cs. We will, however, notify you of any prominent changes we feel you need to be pro-actively made aware of.
As a Uniq Media customer you agree to be bound by all the Terms and Conditions listed here.
General terms and conditions
At Uniq Media, we design bespoke websites as well as design websites as per your theme selection. Uniq Media is not responsible for any issues within the theme that are affecting your website.
At Uniq Media, we offer the best customer service to our customers both by remotely as well as meeting personally. After the payment is made by the customer and Website is completed, as a customer if you are not happy with the Web Design, Uniq Media will arrange the Web Developer to meet the customer personally so that the issues raised by customer can be fixed. Uniq Media will not refund the payment if the customer fails to attend or shows lack of interest after the website is designed. Uniq Media is also not responsible for any reputation damages, potential financial loss or loss of business opportunities as a result of lack of co-operation from our customer.
Uniq Media reserves the right to refuse service and/or access to its servers to anyone.
Uniq Media does not allow any of the following content to be stored on its servers:
Adult material – includes all pornography, erotic images, or otherwise lewd or obscene content.
Excessive download content or non-linked content. Refusal of service based on content matching either of these two criteria is entirely at the discretion of Uniq Media.
We will endeavour to provide a continuous high quality service. If you experience problems with your service, you should contact us at once, either by phone or email.
Please note we may require suspension of some of our services for short scheduled periods to carry out maintenance or repair to our services.
Uniq Media may implement the following policy to its sole discretion:
When a website is found to be monopolising the resources available Uniq Media reserves the right to suspend that site immediately. This policy is only implemented in extreme circumstances and is intended to prevent the misuse of our servers. Customers may be offered an option whereby Uniq Media continues to provide services but only for an additional fee.
All server hosting accounts are set up on a monthly prepay basis. Although Uniq Media reserves the right to change prices of accounts or services at any time, all pricing is guaranteed for the period of prepayment. Payment is normally due annually or every 30 days, following the date the account was established. Customers credit cards will automatically be charged again at the end of their prepay period unless closure notification has already been given.
In situations where the card number on file is declined Uniq Media will immediately suspend the facility to purchase services on-line until the outstanding charge is processed successfully. In addition, Uniq Media reserves the right to suspend other services until the outstanding debt is cleared. The customer is responsible for all money owed on the account from the time it was established to the time that the customer sends a written cancellation request.
For website design services, we would give a generic estimate of cost as per your requirements. Any further costs will be added as per the additional customization. This shall be detailed in the final invoice calculated on the basis of number of hours spent (@£10/hour) on the website project. The initial deposit paid for designing and developing your website is non-refundable. Failure to pay the remaining balance amount will result in your website account suspended or terminated.
In the event you wish to move files/database to another hosting provider, there will be a set charge Uniq Media charges their customers typically between £100 to £200 and provides your website files/database in a zip format. Uniq Media is not responsible if the website files/database doesn’t work in the other server. Once we give your files/database to you, we will immediately close your account and we cannot retrieve them again.
Bills or invoices will be sent by regular mail or email if requested.
All payment is in UK sterling.
You are required to have a valid email address registered on your account at all times, failure to do so may result in suspension of your account.
Please note that whilst this email is primarily used for billing purposes, Uniq Media reserves the right to email you information about enhancements to our systems and product offerings. Your email will not be passed to any other parties at any time.
cPanel login information will be sent once the customer has cleared all the pending balance.
In order to streamline our accounting procedures and keep costs down Uniq Media currently runs a limited number of payment options.
By Bank Transfer :
If you wish to pay your bill using bank transfer/BACS, please use the account number which is shown on your bill
Uniq Media accepts MasterCard, Visa, Visa electron, Switch/Maestro, Solo and American Express via PayPal and Stripe.
This option is only available to business customers who pay annually for their Uniq Media hosting account. Payment should be cleared before a new year of hosting commences. Uniq Media cannot guarantee that a service will be provided until after any received cheques have been cleared. Do not send cash in the post. Please do not send post-dated cheques as they will be processed upon receipt and you may incur bank charges as a result. Receipts will not be issued for cheque payments.
Cancellation and refunds:
Uniq Media reserves the right to cancel the service at any time. In this event customers will be entitled to a pro rata refund based upon the remaining period of membership. If a customer contravenes the Uniq Media terms of service a refund will not be issued in the event of a cancellation. Customers may cancel their account at any time. Any incentives offered to customers when opening the account will also be cancelled. Customers may be given the option to purchase services which were offered as start-up incentives in the result of a cancellation. Fees charged on a prepay basis are non-refundable. Once any initial trial period has expired customers are not entitled to receive a refund unless the service is cancelled by Uniq Media. In addition some accounts may incur set-up fees, these charges are also non-refundable.
At Uniq Media, we are ICO registered and our Developers needs to access your domain and hosting account in order to setup the website files and design your website. We never share your details with anyone and we follow the six principles of processing your personal data.
- Lawfulness, fairness and transparency – we process personal data lawfully, fairly and in a transparent manner in relation to the data subject.
- Purpose limitation – we only collect personal data for a specific, explicit and legitimate purpose. We clearly state the purpose for data collection is to install website files, and only collect data to complete that purpose.
- Data minimisation – we ensure that personal data weprocess is adequate, relevant and limited to what is necessary in relation to your processing purpose.
- Accuracy – we take every reasonable step to update or remove data that is inaccurate or incomplete. Individuals have the right to request that we erase or rectify erroneous data that relates to them, and we do so within a month.
- Storage limitation – we delete personal data when we no longer need it.
- Integrity and confidentiality – we keep personal data safe and protected against unauthorised or unlawful processing and against accidental loss, destruction or damage, using appropriate technical or organisational measures.
Annual Hosting Fees and domain name renewals.
Annual Hosting Fees and domain name renewals will be automatically renewed unless you have informed us by email or in writing at least 30 days before the renewal date.
Customer agrees that it shall defend, indemnify, save and hold Uniq Media harmless from any and all demands, liabilities, losses, costs and claims, including reasonable Legal fees asserted against Uniq Media, its agents, its customers, officers and employees, that may arise or result from any service provided or performed or agreed to be performed or any product sold by customer, its agents, employees or assigns. Customer agrees to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Uniq Media against liabilities arising out of; (1) any injury to person or property caused by any products sold or otherwise distributed in connection with Uniq Media’ server; (2) any material supplied by customer infringing or allegedly infringing on the proprietary rights of a third party; (3) copyright infringement and (4) any defective products or services sold to customer by Uniq Media.
Uniq Media will not be responsible for any damages your business may suffer. Uniq Media makes no warranties of any kind, expressed or implied for services we provide. Uniq Media does not back up your data/website unless it is placed on a load balanced server, and whilst every attempt would be made in the unlikely event of any corruption or hardware failure, Uniq Media cannot guarantee to be able to replace lost data. Uniq Media disclaims any warranty or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This includes loss of data resulting from delays, non-deliveries, wrong delivery, and any and all service interruptions caused by Uniq Media and its employees. Uniq Media reserves the right to revise its policies at any time.
